Mouser adds iC-Haus magnetic off-axis encoders to stock

Mouser is stocking iC-Haus iC-MU magnetic off-axis position encoders for applications including hollow-shaft encoders, motor feedback and robotics.
The distributor’s original announcement is dated 21 September. It concerns stocking availability, rather than the first introduction of the silicon.
The system-on-chip devices combine Hall sensors with two-track scanning to determine absolute position within one mechanical revolution. Position information can be provided through serial, incremental or analogue outputs, with SPI, BiSS and SSI among the supported serial interfaces.
Mouser lists internal 12-bit sine-to-digital conversion, or 14-bit filtered conversion. These figures describe conversion within a sine period and should not be confused with the complete encoder system’s resolution over a revolution.
The devices support configurations with 16, 32 or 64 pole pairs per measurement distance and synchronisation with external multiturn systems. Listed applications also include linear absolute scales and BLDC motor commutation.
