Tria Technologies has launched the C6C-PLH, a 95 mm by 95 mm COM Express Compact Type 6 module based on Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. Options extend to 16 CPU cores and graphics with up to 12 Xe cores, alongside an integrated NPU for inference.[1]

With up to 96 GB of LPDDR5x and in-band ECC options, the module supports machine vision, robotics, industrial automation and medical imaging systems. Four independent displays can be driven, while PCI Express Gen 4, USB4 and 2.5 Gb Ethernet through Intel’s i226 controller connect the module to peripherals and the carrier.[1]

Industrial variants support continuous operation from -40°C to +85°C, with Intel Time Coordinated Computing, Time Sensitive Networking and TPM 2.0 included. Software support covers Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 and a Linux BSP based on Yocto.[1]

The Type 6 pinout separates the compute module from application specific carrier circuitry, providing a route to processor upgrades within the same system design. An existing carrier still has to accommodate the selected configuration’s power, cooling and interface requirements. Tria offers evaluation carriers and cooling hardware, although its launch announcement does not specify module power, NPU throughput or a numerical availability commitment.[1]
