GSME and Teradyne have announced a partnership to establish a semiconductor test and evaluation centre in Silicon Valley.
The companies said the facility will combine GSME’s design, manufacturing enablement and engineering services with Teradyne’s automated test platforms. The aim is to help customers evaluate devices and prepare them for production.
Planned areas of support include artificial intelligence devices for hyperscale computing, automotive semiconductors, silicon photonics, power management, radio frequency technology and other emerging semiconductor applications.
GSME said the centre is intended to reduce development time and improve the transition from evaluation to production readiness. The companies also expect the partnership to support an expansion of engineering services in other regions.
No opening date, investment figure or planned capacity was disclosed in the announcement.
