Xsight Labs has announced the E1L, a programmable data processing unit for edge, embedded and other infrastructure with constrained power and cooling budgets.
The entry configuration combines eight Arm Neoverse N2 cores and 100G networking at a quoted 25W thermal design power and 15W typical consumption. Across the range, Xsight lists 25W, 30W and 40W TDP configurations, with typical consumption of 15W, 18W and 25W respectively.
The family supports up to 200G networking and offers eight, 16 or 22 cores. Its interfaces include up to two DDR5-5200 memory interfaces with inline encryption and 20 PCIe Gen5 lanes across six dual-mode controllers. Xsight also lists line-rate AES-GCM acceleration for IPsec.
Built on TSMC's N5 process, the E1L is designed to run standard Linux software using XDP for packet processing, DPDK for userspace networking and SPDK for storage functions.
Xsight says the same software stack spans E1L and its larger 800G E1 DPU. The E-Series architecture places its Arm cores in the data path and combines processing, networking and storage acceleration with coherent memory.
The product is planned in discrete-device, COM Express and 1RU server forms. Xsight describes the COM Express option as a control-plane module and the server as a compute system with integrated 200G networking.
E1L sampling is scheduled to begin in Q2 2027. Xsight will present the device at the OCP Global Summit in San Jose from 12 to 15 October 2026.
