MEMPHIS Electronic has added ADATA Industrial to its supplier portfolio, extending its range of DRAM modules, solid-state drives and embedded storage. The agreement announced on 4 November covers DDR4 and DDR5 modules, SATA and NVMe SSDs, memory cards and embedded devices including eMMC, UFS and LPDDR5X.[1]
The distributor will provide design support, lifecycle management and global sourcing alongside the products. ADATA’s manufacturing footprint spans Taiwan, China, India and South America, which MEMPHIS says adds flexibility around country-of-origin requirements and regional sourcing. The announcement does not assign individual memory products to particular factories.[1]
ADATA’s power-loss protection technology combines voltage detection with stored energy in capacitors, allowing a supported SSD to finish buffered operations when its external supply fails. This addresses the interval between data being accepted by a drive and being safely committed to flash, rather than simply making the drive restart after an outage.[2]
Within the existing range, the IM2P41B8P provides a concrete example: the M.2 2280 drive combines a PCIe Gen4 x4 interface and NVMe 1.4 with polymer capacitors for hardware power-loss protection. That is a feature of the specified drive, with the precise protection and operating conditions needing to be read at product level across the wider portfolio.[3]
The agreement’s SLC and pSLC options address write endurance, with pSLC using flash designed to hold several bits in a cell in a single-bit mode, trading usable capacity for greater write endurance. This is relevant to equipment that continually records measurements or operational events, where total writes over years of service can be more restrictive than the headline capacity.[1][4]
MEMPHIS already configures industrial DRAM modules and offers fixed bills of materials for custom configurations. Keeping the component selection stable can avoid an unplanned change in a qualified board, although those arrangements are distinct from a blanket guarantee that every newly added ADATA product will remain unchanged. The ADATA range will be presented at electronica in Hall C5, stand 361.[1][5]
