Keysight has introduced the InfiniiVision XR3L4A, a 1U rack oscilloscope with four analogue channels, 16 digital inputs and a 14 bit ADC. It offers bandwidths from 200 MHz to 1 GHz and 100 Mpts of memory per analogue channel, with several units able to operate together in systems containing more than 100 channels.[1][2]
A 10 MHz reference clock provides the common frequency base for those instruments, while Infiniium 2026 software on an external Windows controller brings their waveforms and controls into one interface. Keysight is targeting automated aerospace, defence, manufacturing and high energy physics test systems, where a rack may need several oscilloscopes capturing the same event.[1][2]
Each unit uses Keysight’s MegaZoom 5 ASIC and a low noise analogue front end, with the company quoting a 50 µVrms noise floor and 1.3 million waveform updates per second. Zoom, filters, zone triggering and colour grading run in hardware without reducing that update rate, so analysis can remain active during acquisition.[1]
The 16 digital inputs, 200 MHz base bandwidth and 100 Mpts memory are standard. Bandwidth can be selected up to 1 GHz, allowing the same rack format to be used for different measurement requirements.[2]
