Charcroft Electronics has added Central Semiconductor to its supplier portfolio, giving UK customers another route to a range of discrete semiconductors used in demanding applications.
Charcroft’s 14 September announcement names diodes, rectifiers, MOSFETs, JFETs and circuit-protection devices. It positions the range for space, defence, avionics and other mission-critical work. The distributor has also recruited James Spencer as a field-based technical sales engineer to support the franchise.
For buyers managing low-volume or long-life programmes, an additional specialist channel may help with part selection and supplier contact. It does not, on its own, establish inventory availability, qualification status or long-term supply for a specific device. Those details should be checked against the exact part number and programme requirements.
Charcroft has not set out in the announcement the franchise territory, exclusivity terms, stock levels or lead times. Customers assessing the range should ask for current authorised-supply status, traceability, applicable device documentation and a lifecycle position before treating a part as an approved alternative.
