Diodes final orders close on 28 October for selected components

There is a week left to place final orders for some of the components covered by Diodes Incorporated’s PCN-2824. The deadline is 28 October, although the notice gives different options for different ordering codes. In one case, the suffix used to specify the reel identifies whether a version is eligible for a final order.
The notice was issued on 28 April 2026 and sets 28 April 2027 as the final shipment date for eligible orders, subject to availability. It covers selected discrete and analogue semiconductors, with separate lists for products that have a recommended replacement and those that do not. Some have no final order opportunity at all.
The ZXM61N02F shows why the full ordering code matters. Its datasheet lists ZXM61N02FTA on a reel measuring 7 inches and holding 3,000 devices. ZXM61N02FTC comes on a 13 inch reel holding 10,000. Diodes places the FTA version in the list eligible for final orders, while the FTC version has no such window.
| Ordering code | Reel quantity | Final order opportunity | Recommended replacement |
|---|---|---|---|
| ZXM61N02FTA | 3,000 | Yes, until 28 October | DMN2053U-7 |
| ZXM61N02FTC | 10,000 | No | DMN2053U-13 |
A quotation that drops the last two letters would hide that difference. The base part number identifies the device, but it does not give enough information to determine which terms in the notice apply. Similarly, an offer of one reel format would not confirm that the other could be bought on the same basis.
The replacement codes also retain the packaging distinction. Diodes lists the DMN2053U-7 on reels of 3,000 and the -13 on reels of 10,000. That preserves a familiar purchasing choice, although changing the transistor itself requires a closer look at the circuit.
Checking the DMN2053U replacement
Both published datasheets describe a 20V N-channel MOSFET in SOT-23, but their electrical characteristics differ. The ZXM61N02F has a maximum on-resistance of 0.18Ω at a gate voltage of 4.5V and a drain current of 0.93A. For the DMN2053U, the specified maximum is 35mΩ at 4.5V and 5A.
The lower resistance is worth examining, but the test currents differ and the figures alone cannot show how much power an existing board would save. Conduction loss is only part of the calculation in a switching circuit, where gate charge, capacitances and the driver also affect the result.
Texas Instruments’ guidance on MOSFET and driver selection explains the relationship: the driver has to deliver enough current to achieve the intended switching transitions, while the transistor’s gate charge and parasitic characteristics influence switching performance. A device with an attractive resistance figure can still behave differently during turn on and turn off.
For the proposed Diodes substitution, that makes the gate drive, load waveform and thermal conditions of the existing board relevant to the comparison. The linked DMN2053U datasheet is dated February 2018 and marked “Advanced Information”. It supplies specifications to investigate; the notice does not document a qualification test in any particular customer product.
There is a separate question about what a supplier can deliver before the manufacturing window closes. Stock already held, a factory order awaiting acceptance and material expected from another source can all appear in sourcing discussions, but they offer different levels of certainty. The quantity committed, its source and its delivery date belong alongside the complete ordering code in the quotation.
Changing reel size may also affect the quantity purchased and the way material is received and prepared for assembly. Those arrangements can be checked against the order rather than left to emerge when the shipment arrives.
Diodes’ notice does not state how many devices remain available or confirm acceptance of an individual order. For eligible parts, the published shipment deadline remains 28 April 2027, subject to availability.
