UL Solutions completed its acquisition of Eurofins Scientific’s electrical and electronics testing business on 1 October, adding laboratories and accreditations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Asia and the United States.

The acquired services cover electromagnetic compatibility, wireless testing, electrical safety and medical devices. The transaction includes the MET Labs certification mark, which UL identified when it announced the agreement on 13 April.

At that time, UL put the enterprise value at approximately €575 million on a debt-free, cash-free basis, subject to customary adjustments. Its completion statement does not provide a revised value.

Eurofins confirmed the disposal in a separate 2 October announcement, describing MET Labs as an international testing, inspection and certification network with approximately 1,300 staff.

UL said the combination would broaden its electrical safety and connected-product services. It has not published a laboratory-by-laboratory integration timetable or announced specific changes to existing customer certification arrangements.
