Pickering to connect test system design with hardware demonstrations at electronica

Pickering Interfaces will demonstrate a workflow linking signal path design, chassis selection and cabling at electronica in Munich, alongside a new PXI/PXIe waveform generator.
The company plans to show Test System Architect with a design based on its 60-107 12 slot LXI/USB modular chassis. The online tool generates system documentation, including bills of materials and cabling information. A physical chassis alongside the demonstration will connect that configuration work with the resulting hardware. This is a useful part of test system design to expose: the channel count alone does not describe the cables and routing needed to reach the device.
Pickering Remote Gateway will demonstrate control of PXI/PXIe equipment from a network connected workstation, allowing applications to run elsewhere while hardware stays near the device under test. Testblox will show measurement, switching, power and communications intended for installation within the fixture. The two approaches address different parts of the connection problem: separating the control computer from the instruments, and moving instrumentation into the fixture itself.
The waveform generator is due to launch at the show, with live demonstrations planned. Its key performance specifications have not been disclosed in the advance announcement. Pickering will be in Hall A4, stand 242, during electronica on 10–13 November.
