Minew has released two wearable safety devices, the MWB02 Wearable Panic Button and the MWC05 Safety Location Smart Badge, both built around Nordic Semiconductor's nRF54L15 system-on-chip, according to a Nordic Semiconductor announcement.

Nordic states that both products use the nRF54L15 to relay bidirectional alerts between the wearable device and fixed Bluetooth Low Energy anchors. This arrangement is typically used to confirm that an alert has been received and to help establish a wearer's location within range of the anchor network.

Bluetooth LE SoC at the core

The nRF54L15 is Nordic's Bluetooth Low Energy system-on-chip (SoC), integrating a radio and processor on a single device aimed at compact, battery-powered wearable products. Nordic's announcement does not give battery life, physical dimensions, certification status or deployment figures for either the MWB02 or the MWC05.

Vendor-sourced announcement

The details available come from Nordic's own press notice describing Minew's design choice; no independent technical specification sheet, pricing or availability information for the two products was included in the material reviewed.
