A power sequence can involve several rails, an enable signal, a reset line and the load response. Viewing them together avoids splitting the investigation across separate captures.
Rohde & Schwarz offers its MXO 3 oscilloscope in four- and eight-channel versions, with bandwidth options ranging from 100 MHz to 1 GHz. The instrument has 12-bit hardware vertical resolution and an 11.6-inch full-HD touchscreen.
The manufacturer specifies acquisition rates of up to 4.5 million waveforms per second. Zone triggering allows users to isolate events by marking an area of the display, while optional protocol decoding and mixed-signal functions extend the instrument’s capabilities.
The eight-channel version is particularly relevant to measurements involving several related analogue signals, such as power sequencing or converter behaviour.
At approximately 4 kg, the MXO 3 also provides a portable option for moving a measurement between benches. Its compact enclosure and VESA mounting support offer alternatives where conventional bench placement is awkward.
