Powell stocks sealed Amphenol LTW interfaces for immersion cooling
The modular I&O platform supports Cat 6A transmission and keeps its seal when unmated.
Powell Electronics Europe is stocking Amphenol LTW’s modular I&O connection system for equipment cooled by immersion. The platform supports transmission performance up to Cat 6A and an operating range of −40°C to +80°C, with configurations tailored to the application.
The seal is specified for the unmated connector. Amphenol LTW describes IP68 protection from inside the equipment to the outside, intended to contain dielectric oil even when the external connection is removed. Sealing materials can be customised to suit the coolant. That material choice is part of the design: the IP68 rating describes ingress protection, while compatibility with the selected immersion fluid depends on the seal construction.
