Mouser stocks Samtec connections for compact VNX+ systems
Samtec’s VITA 90 VNX+ interconnect portfolio is now available through Mouser, bringing RF, optical and electrical connection options to the compact modular system architecture.
The range includes RF backplane products operating at frequencies up to 110 GHz and SEARAY arrays supporting up to 56 Gbit/s with PAM4 signalling. Those figures describe separate interfaces within the portfolio. VITA 90.2 modules can also combine MT optical ferrules with size 16 or size 20 RF contacts, including 50 Ω and 75 Ω configurations.
Mechanical accommodation is part of the design. Floating alignment features support blind mating as a module engages with its backplane, where connector position and accumulated tolerances can complicate insertion.
QMC mezzanine connections provide a route to additional processing and I/O within a module. Optical cable assemblies complete the offering, allowing different signal types to be carried through the VNX+ system without treating every connection as an electrical backplane channel.
