A proposed 1.5 GWh lithium-cell plant and two electronics manufacturing operations are among the projects associated with Madhya Pradesh’s technology summit in Indore.
Una Ecosystems plans a ₹2,000 crore cell manufacturing facility at Bhopal’s EMC 2. Meena Circuits proposes a ₹400 crore electronics system design and manufacturing operation, while Kaynes Electronics’ ₹310 crore project would establish an electronics manufacturing services facility at Bhopal IT Park, Badwai.
The projects are at the proposal and land-allotment stage.
They form part of a five-company group receiving land-allotment letters of intent, with reported investment totalling ₹9,625 crore. Most of that sum belongs to a different type of infrastructure: CyTac RE’s proposed ₹6,415 crore, 50 MW hyperscale data centre in the Gwalior area. Auriga IT accounts for another ₹500 crore through a proposed Indore development.
The project breakdown gives a more precise account of the proposed industrial activity than a combined technology investment figure. It spans battery cells, electronics design and assembly, data-centre capacity and IT operations, each with different requirements for equipment, utilities and production readiness.
Separately, the state reported more than ₹5,800 crore in fresh semiconductor and technology proposals during the summit. That announcement covers a different category from the five land-allotment projects, so the two totals should not be added together as a single confirmed construction programme.
