FIC Global has formally opened a manufacturing site in Johor, Malaysia, with eight surface-mount assembly lines and development capabilities for high-speed optical communications products.
The operation is run by subsidiary PRO3C at i-Park Senai Airport City. Its work includes optical transceivers at 800G, 1.6T and 3.2T, alongside flip-chip assembly, co-packaged optics, linear-drive pluggable optics and silicon photonics.
The opening marks an expansion already under way. The site passed customer qualification in November 2025 and began production late that year, before entering mass production in the first quarter of 2026. FIC Global describes the second half of this year as the move into full-scale operation, with capacity being increased in line with customer orders.
The company also plans an innovation and supply-chain centre in Singapore. That centre is intended to connect development and supply-chain activities with the Malaysian manufacturing operation; it is a planned addition, rather than a second facility opened at the Johor ceremony.
