Mouser Electronics will host a live demonstration of RoboTUM’s flagship humanoid robot at electronica 2026, showing how embedded computing, motor-control electronics and motion sensing are combined in a bipedal platform.

The robot is being developed by the student-led robotics initiative at the Technical University of Munich. Its electronic architecture includes microcontrollers, NVIDIA Jetson modules, EtherCAT networking, magnetic encoders and high-precision inertial measurement units, alongside power electronics and energy storage. RoboTUM describes its flagship platform, Forrest, as using tendon-driven mechanics and elastically coupled joints to recover energy during movement. The team is developing the hardware and control software in-house, with work spanning regenerative braking, sensor integration and real-time control. [Source 2]

Mouser will exhibit alongside parent company TTI in Hall C3, stand 578. The demonstration forms part of its programme at the Munich exhibition, which runs from 10 to 13 November.

Mouser’s customer-service team will also be available to discuss component ordering, deliveries and the distributor’s online bill-of-materials tools. [Source 1]
